Whose Paintings Displaying in the Great Hall of People
After accomplished the two lacquer paintings --- “Exquisite Beauty” and “Green Cloud”,
there was a press conference held by the Art College of Xiamen
University, Xiamen Fishing Culture and Art Co., LTD., and Xiamen
Shinegood Culture Museum at Chen Jinhua Studio in Xiamen Wuyuan Bay
Culture Center on May 11, 2012. This conference attracted the close
attention of the leaders in Xiamen, and some leaders were present at the
conference.
This two works were successfully finished by the cooperation of Prof. Chen Jinhua and Prof. Xu Li.It took them 4 months to complete this big project--- “Exquisite Beauty” and “Green Cloud” that
would be permanently displayed in the meeting room of the NPC Standing
Committee. The two professors had been awarded by the collection
certificate the general office of the National People's Congress for
their creation and dedication.
The
conference hall of the National People's Congress Standing Committee
was an important site for the members to exercise their legal rights,
and it’s
also the important meeting place. The paintings became his masterpieces
and another mark for his skilled painting style and sophisticated
technology, and also showed Prof. Chen’s outstanding contribution to China's cultural and art enterprises.
According
to Prof. Chen, the size of the painting was length 5150 mm by height
2600 mm , the weight about 400 kg. The screen was a single double-sided
screen, and each side had a painting. “Exquisite Beauty” applied 56 peonies to show our nations’ colorful life; “Green Cloud” was themed by the green bamboo to embody the nation’s
integrity and their happiness life. The contrast of two paintings with
warm and cold tone reflected the Chinese traditional nation and the
contemporary art language. This painting was in pursuit of the artistic
technique of the plane and stereoscopic, combined with Oriental style
with the colorful atmosphere to represent the artistic style of the
Chinese nation. Combining the tradition and the modern style, the art
works would form in his own symbol and style. The idea of “ the impulse of art was from the world in my eyes " was the conclusion of his 40 years’ persistence in the field of Chinese lacquer painting .
