Jinhua Chen was born in Sept. 1963 in Nanping, Fujian .

In 1990 Mr. Chen was graduated from Central Academy of Craft Art.

Titles:  

Deputy director of the Lacquer Painting Art Committee of Chinese Artists Association

Vice chairman of the Artists Association in Fujian,

Director of the Lacquer Painting Art Committee in Fujian,

Director of the first professor committee of the Art College of Xiamen University,

Director, professor, and doctoral supervisor of Department of Fine Arts in Xiamen University.

Art Experiences:

“The People and the Environment” was exhibited in the 7th Art Exhibition of the  People's Republic of China in 1989;

"Miao Zhai" was exhibited in the 2nd of the National Watercolor and Gouache Painting Exhibition in 1992;

"Red Tide" was exhibited in the 2nd of Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition in 1994 ;

“Far Sound” obtained the highest prize in the 8th Art Exhibition of the People's Republic of China, and collected by China Art Gallery in 1994;

“The Same Day” was exhibited in Chinese Landscape Oil Painting Exhibition in 1995;

"The March Wind" was exhibited in Chinese Watercolor Painting Exhibition in 1996;

In 1996, Mr. Chen won the Youth Arts Award in Xiamen city;

"Green Space" was exhibited in Chinese Youth Oil Painting Exhibition, and the 9th art Oil Painting Exhibition, and won the gold award in Fujian Art Festival of the People's Republic of China;

In 1998 Mr. Chen acquired the silver medal of the people's government of 2nd   Hundred Flowers Awards in Fujian;

"Warm Rain” was exhibited in “ ‘98’ the year of China international art" -- contemporary landscape oil painting exhibition held by the ministry of culture in 1998;

"The Prosperous and Peaceful Time " won the silver award in the 9th art exhibition of the People's Republic of China and the first Beijing International Art Biennale Exhibition, collected by China Art Gallery in 1999;

"The Chinese Shops" won the excellence award in the China Art Exhibition of the ministry of culture, later collected by the Macao museum in 2000;

In 2000 Mr.Chen won the silver prize in the 3rd “Hundred Flower Literature Award” of the government in Fujian;

In 2000 Mr. Chen was awarded the first prize in the activity of Fujian fine arts creation;

In Dec. 2000, as one of the top 10 Chinese artist, Mr. Chen was awarded "Smashing Artist" in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing;

"Sunset" was exhibited in the Character of Chinese Watercolor Painting Exhibition in 2001;

"A Silent Song” got the silver prize in the National Arts Exhibition in 2002; 

"Year" won the gold award in the first National Lacquer Painting Exhibition in2002;

In 2016 Mr. Chen was awarded "Cultural Art Masters" by Fujian committee and the provincial government .
